Colin Bateman

Colin farms 900 acres to the north of Kendal, where their family business runs 1,200 ewes and 100 Angus cattle across heather hill and improved pasture. Alongside this, Colin serves on the main board of AHDB and chairs its Beef and Lamb sector, giving him a broad perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing UK livestock.
Colin is passionate about the future of our industry and its communities, and believes that farmers working together strengthens both our collective voice and financial resilience.
